Rules

We welcome everyone to the Blood Oath Syndicate, however, we also take the quality of our guild seriously. If you're new or thinking of joining, please take a few minutes to read through the following rules so that you're clear on what's expected from our members. Violators will get the boot.

1. No swearing on vent or in chat channels (there are kids on).

2. We do not tolerate hateful language of any kind from our members.

3. No making fun of new players... instead try helping them to learn their class.

4. No stealing. Ninjas suck.

5. No spamming. This includes all channels (guild, raid, trade, general, LFG, etc.)

6. Play nicely with others. Please remember that you have a big blob of text over your head that says the Blood Oath Syndicate. That means that anytime you misbehave, it refelects on everyone in our guild. So please be a kind and considerate player at all times.

7. Have fun! It is a game afterall.

RAID RULES:

1) Sign up before the raid!

2) Be on time (no exceptions). If you're late I will have to give your spot away.

3) Be prepared (bring all the pots, mats, scrolls, ammo, shards, etc.) that you need for a full raid.

4) You must have ventrilo (ask any officer for details on how to download and use vent).

5) You must have the omen threat meter and deadly boss mods downloaded and running. See the link in the General Forum or ask any officer for details. Both are available at www.curse.com.

6) Know your class and your role. Everyone is learning and we don't expect anyone to become a master of their class overnight, but we do expect you to know your role in the party, what buffs you should be giving, what buffs/consumables you need, what attributes you should be using, and what sort of damage/healing/threat you should be doing. A good place to learn basics is on wowwiki, but I encourage everyone to take it a step further. Check out the forums at www.elitistjerks.com to learn a little more about your class. Also, ask around for examples of an elite player from your class... check out his/her spec on the armory, check out their gear and ask questions. Most good players don't mind answering a few polite questions.

At some point we will have to start choosing who can come on a given raid and that choice will be made based on attitude, knowledge and preparedness, previous attendence, and advance sign-up (not necessarily in that order).
